Sydney Harbour Walks
If you are feeling a bit more energetic and like walking, then the walks around Sydney Harbour would be just right for you.
Walking is an ideal way to see all that Sydney offers in a healthy and fun way. There are many guided tours and walking maps to help you find your way. You’ll quickly realise just how diverse and fascinating Sydney Harbour really is.
A tour of Sydney’s historical sites and architecture might be just what you need. Or nature might call you to wander the beaches and enjoy the Sydney Harbour foreshore walks. You could even stroll around the exclusive waterfront suburbs lining the harbour. Or, you could take the invigorating 26km “Circle Walk” showing you the entire harbour.
Self-guided tours are a fun way to see the sights and learn some history at the same time. Each tour comes with a map and audio tracks to download to your Ipod. Better than a guide book, you’ll get all the facts about this great city, while exploring at your own pace. Or, for something different, you could take a ghost-walk at night around Quarantine Station, a haunted site where anything spooky could happen.
Sydney Ferries has also mapped out 16 walks to keep your feet moving so you’ll have plenty of options for exploring. Walking maps are available at Sydney Visitor Centre or from Sydney Ferries.
